Why does the ignition coil in cylinder 8 of my 99 mustang gt keep going bad?

I have a 1999 mustang gt 4.6l which uses the ignition coil on spark plug system. Last week i replaced the spark plugs. Prior to changing the spark plugs the ignition coil in cylinder 8 had gone bad 2 times. i was told that the spark plug in there could be bad or going bad thus causing this problem. now i installed the new coil in cylinder 8 a week before installing the new spark plugs. maybe i should have replaced the plugs before putting a new coil in there? the coil in cylinder 8 has already started to go bad again. i simply tested each ignition coil by unplugging them while the car was on and seeing how that affected the smooth running engine. the coil slowly goes bad each time and i suspect this coil will be totally useless soon. for your information compression seems to be fine.... please advise. Why does the ignition coil in cylinder 8 of my 99 mustang gt keep going bad?
Your engine is known for the problem that you are facing. Most common cause is incorrect plug application, recommend Auto lite O.E. or FoMoCo O.E. for best results. Second cause is moisture in the plug coil connection area caused by a leaking intake manifold gasket. Excessive moisture causes scattered spark and over load of the coil which leads to its failure. Make sure area is dry and no leaks in the area. Third is after market coil application that is not compatible with O.E. specifications= insufficient KV=KILA volts to fire the spark plug. Just for information sake, this set up is called COP= coil over plug. Hope this is of some help. Why does the ignition coil in cylinder 8 of my 99 mustang gt keep going bad?
you can,t tell by looking at the plug wire. if you have a bad plug wire then it can weaken that cylinder. get yourself a good set of plug wires and change them. Why does the ignition coil in cylinder 8 of my 99 mustang gt keep going bad?
id say must be a bad short in wire grounding it out or heat from some where to burn it up coil should last many years a spark plug wouldnt make it go bad since the plug gets fire from coil so its something before thats killing it not plugWhy does the ignition coil in cylinder 8 of my 99 mustang gt keep going bad?
