96 Dodge Intrepid Cam and Crank Sensors Where are they and how do they work?

The car will not start, there is no spark, and now no fuel going through. Would the Cam and Crank Sensors have something to do with the fuel not going through. I know they tell the engine when to spark. We have changed the ignition coil and the spark plugs and the Sensors are next on the list but where are they located?96 Dodge Intrepid Cam and Crank Sensors Where are they and how do they work?
The crank sensor particularly if faulty will stop the engine running. It will be located low down and to one side of the engine block as it needs to be near the crank itself - they are usually difficult to get at because of that.

The cam sensor is generally a back up and is compared with the crank sensor to confirm valve timing is ok - mostly it will not stop the engine running if faulty but just bring on the ECU fault light.

The crankshaft sensor will be usually between the two cranks at one end of the head if on a DOHC engine.96 Dodge Intrepid Cam and Crank Sensors Where are they and how do they work?
I would assume that a plug in diagnostic check may give you more of a clue, but in general, the crankshaft sensor is mounted at the top of the flywheel %26amp; the camshaft sensor is mounted at one end of the camshaft, or built into the distributor body. If the timing belt has slipped or lost tension, the two sensors may be out of sync %26amp; this could be your problem.
